JOHNSON, 66, IS BURIED FRIDAY Funeral services were held in Ideal Methodist church Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock for R.L. Johnson, 66, well-known teacher and school official, who died of pneumonia in a Carrollton hospital Thursday. He had been ill for several weeks and developed pneumonia shortly before his death. The Rev. S.A. Douthit and the Rev. W.W. Whaley officiated at the funeral and burial was in Oglethorpe cemetery. Mr. Johnson was teaching in Roopville school in Carroll county. He had served as superintendent of many schools in Georgia and was a former superintendent of Macon county schools. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. S.K. Johnson, pioneer citizens of Macon county. He was a Mason and a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include a brother, T.J. Johnson, Ideal; five sisters, Mrs. Lula Cloud and Mrs. J.M. Snellgrove, both of Ideal; Mrs. C.L. Gardner, Oglethorpe; Mrs. Annie Harris, Macon; Mrs. T.C. Gardner Vidalia; Mrs. Homer Shipp, Cordele.
