The Schley County News Thursday, October 20, 1904
DEATH OF AGED CITIZEN On yesterday, Mr. William Jordan
an aged and well known citizen died at his home near
Shiloh church.  Mr. Jordan had been a citizen of Schley
county nearly all his life, and was widely known
throughout this section of the country.  He was a
consistent member of the Methodist church for more than
half a century.  Funeral services were conducted from the
Methodist church, here, today by Revs. L.A. Hill and R.F.
Williamson.  His remains were interred in the Ellaville
cemetery.
