JORDAN BURIED FRIDAY Funeral services were held at Americus Friday for O.S. Jordan, 65, former Schley county citizen who died Thursday at the home of his son, W.T. Jordan, at Leary, Georgia. Mr. Jordan lived in Schley county for many years before moving to Americus. The Rev. W.A. Joyner, pastor of Americus Christian church, officiated at the services which were held from Lee Street Funeral Home. Rev. Mr. Eggans of Dawson assisted. Burial was in Oak Grove cemetery in Americus. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Lee Autry and Mrs. J.P. Braswell, Jr., both of Americus; Mrs. R.J. Powell, Atlanta; Mrs. A.N. Mattison, Miami, and Miss Jimmie Jordan, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons, W.T. Jordan and Joseph Jordan, both of Leary; three sisters, Mrs. Howard Walker, Americus, and Misses Ola and Laura Jordan, both of Marion county; eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were J.P. Hogg, Dr. A.S. Boyette, and Mr. Mangham, all of Buena Vista; H.G. Wimbish and Cleve Burt, both of Schley county, and Dr. Russell Thomas of Americus.
