W.S. JORDAN, 43, PASSES TUESDAY Mrs. W.S. Jordan, 43, a native of Schley county who resided in Ellaville for many years, died at a Savannah hospital Tuesday morning at 8:30 o'clock, several hours after suffering a stroke at her home, She had been in poor health for about two years. Funeral services were held at Ellaville Methodist church Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock with the Rev. Roy J. Bond, the Rev. Hugh Dozier and the Rev. Allen B. Wall of Buena Vista officiating. Burial was in Ellaville cemetery. Born in Schley county June 7, 1898, Mrs. Jordan was the former Miss Mary George Wall, daughter of Mrs. Fanny Wall of Ellaville and the late Mr. Henry Wall. She was married to Dr. W.S. Jordan, of Ellaville, in June 1917. They resided in Ellaville for many years while Dr. Jordan was pharmacist ay Jordan's Drug Store. She united with Hopewell Methodist church in Schley county during her girlhood. Survivors include her husband and one son, Billy, both of Savannah; three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Daniel, Montezuma; Mrs. E.L. King, Valdosta; Mrs. Andrew Sellars, Schley county; two brothers, Charles C. Wall, Sr., Ellaville and Dr. W.H. Wall, Blakely, Ga. Pallbearers were M.C. Hill, Wilson Tondee, Harry Collins, H.B. Arrington, H.Willis Hogg, and Linton Tondee.
