Services will be held at 4 p.m. today at Hopewell United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Mark Carter will officiate. Mrs. Johnson was born in Schley County on July 16, 1903. She was the daughter of the late Carlton Ferrell and Susan Pauline Devane Robinson. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker. She was a member of the Community Improvement Association, Hopewell United Methodist Church, and the WSCS of the church. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Ann Marie and W.B. James of Ellaville; one daughter-in-law, Carrie Johnson of Ellaville; four grandchildren, William and Janice Johnson, Janet and Mitchell Ellis, Allision and Dwaine Inhulson, and Karen Berry. Seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Johnson, one son, Andrew Carlton Johnson and by a granddaughter, Kimberly James. Active pallbearers will include Tommy Devane, Kevin Devane, Dan Devane, Henry Sellars, Jimmy Harrison, and Chuck Pless. Visitation was held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., Saturday at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in Ellaville.
