29 October 1879 issue:
Mrs. Hershel V. Johnson died about dark on last Sunday
night.  She was a beautiful young woman, and celebrated
her marriage to Mr. Johnson last Christmas ever.  This
news will send grief to the hearts of numerous relatives
and friends.  Her remains were interred at Liberty Church
at 4 o'clock last Monday evening. [Marion County]


26 November 1879 issue:
IN  MEMMORIAM
Mrs. Fannie Johnson, daughter of Mrs. Henrietta Duke,
closed her mortal career at the home of her mother in
Marion County, on the 26th October, 1879. 

The hearts that had so recentley been stricken by the
sudden death, by congestion of her little brother, were
again doomed to bitter anguish at this unexpected blow.
