Mrs. Ruth L. Kelley, 77, of Ellaville, died Friday, February 6, 1998, at the 
Sumter Regional Hospital, Americus.

The family received friends at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday, 
February 7, 1998.  Funeral services were held Sunday, February 8, 1998 at the 
Christian Fellowship Church in Americus at 3 p.m. with the Revs. Willie Raybon 
Richard Taylor, and Earl Dunmon officiating.  Burial followed in the Ellaville 
Cemetery.

Born in Dooly County on April 12, 1920, Mrs. Kelley was the daughter of Bell 
and Horace Fountain, retired from Manhattan Shirt Company, and was the widow 
of William D. Kelley.

Survivors include seven daughters and six sons-in-law, Sarah and Lonnie Jones, 
Mary and Larry Belcher, Margaret and Ralph Taylor, and Florence Holmes, all of 
Ellaville, Dinah and Kenneth Johnson, Conyers, Dorothy and Butch Gealton, 
Fitzgerald, and Ann and Richard Kearby, Macon, two brothers, Clyde Fountain, 
Tucson, AZ, and Bunn Fountain, Byromville, three sisters, Evy Hall, Macon, 
Myrtle Riddle, Perry, and Katie Ansley, Meigs; eighteen grandchildren and 
sixteen great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Ken Franks, Frank Brady, Bill Bishop, Randy O'Hearn, Jeff 
Gordon, and Clint Holloway.  Serving as honorary pallbearers were Elders and 
Care Pastors of Christian Fellowship Church.  Giddens Funeral Home of 
Ellaville was in charge of arrangements.
