Family Funeral Program
KING, LOUIS, Sr.
Deacon Louis King, Sr., was born December 3, 1916 in Macon County, GA to 
Eugene and Willie Bell Clark King, Sr.  He was the 3rd of 7 children; his 
brother James preceded him in death.  In 1930, the King family moved to Schley 
County, GA and he joined Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church.  He married Olivia 
Carter and they had 4 children: Maggarie, Louis Jr., James and Melinda.  Mr. 
King died December 14, 1994.  Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., 
Saturday Morning, December 17, 1994 at Mt Zion Missionary Batpist Church in 
Ellaville, GA; Pastor James O Brown officiated.  Deacons of Mt Zion served as 
pallbearers.  Burial in Mt Zion Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.  His
survivors include: his wife, children: Maggarie King of Ellaville, GA, Louis 
(Lois) King Jr. of Cartersville, GA, James Elbert (Katherine) King of Decatur, 
GA and Melinda King Brown of Decatur, GA; sisters and brothers and their 
companions: Julia Mae Harris of Andersonville, GA, Eugene (Lila) King of 
Ellaville, GA, Leonard Clyde (Lucille) King of Detroit, MI, Mary Lue (Reverend 
Willie) Duncan of Detroit, MI, and Lucille Nelson of Pasadena, CA; 5 
grandchildren, Mr. & Mrs. Louis Allen of Deland, FL, Christopher, Matthew and 
Tiffany King, all of Cartersville, GA and Allen William Brown Jr., of Camp 
Pendleton, CA; 2 great grandchildren, Allison King of Deland, FL and Cierra 
Brown of Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Napoleon and Rosa 
Aldridge of Ellaville, GA, Spencer Carter of Rochester, NY, Douglas and Dollie 
Carter of Southfield, MI, Doris Lloyd of Detroit, MI, Reverend Richard (Rose) 
Carter and Reverend George (Sallie) Carter, all of Rochester, NY, nieces and 
nephews and cousins. Meadows Oglethorpe Funeral Home, Oglethorpe, GA
