Mrs. Martha Irene King, age 92, of 343 Georgia Highway 153, Ellaville, Ga. 
died Tuesday evening, September 27, 2005 at her home.  Funeral services were 
held at Ellaville United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 29 
with burial in the Ellaville Cemetery.  Rev. Brooks Partain and Rev. Scott 
Brenton officiated.

Mrs. King was born February 7, 1913 in Bibb County, Georgia, the daughter of 
the late James and Frances McGee.  She was a seamtress and a homemaker.  She 
was a charter member for 57 years of the Ellaville American Legion Auxiliary.  
Mrs. King was a member of the Ellaville United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one daughter, Olivia Mallichek and husband Tommy of 
Ellaville, Ga.; one grandaughter: Renee Barrett and husband Johnny of Buena 
Vista, Ga.; one sister: Mae Chancey of Macon, Ha. and several nieces and 
nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Edwin King.

Active pallbearers included Johnny Wall, Rodney Wall, Machael Wurtz, Jeff 
Simmons, Robbie Brown, and Chad Brown.  Honorary pallbearers were the members 
of the Ellaville American Legion Auxiliary and the men and women of the 
Ellaville Schley County Senior Citizens Center.  Visitation was held 
Wednesday, September 28 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Watson-Giddens Funeral Home in 
Ellaville.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, Ga. was in charge of arrangements.
