M. Larkin Mr. A.M. Larkin, another of Schley County's oldest citizens died Sunday night at his home near here, after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Larkin spent his entire life in Schley County, where he has been engaged in agricultural pursuits, tilling the soil and reaping each fall the fruits of his labors. Mr. Larkin was a Confederate soldier and will be missed when the Veteran's again assemble to do honor to their comrades. Rapidly are the old soldiers leaving us. A few more years and all of them will have pitched their tents in the eternal camping ground to await the resurrection morning. When Gabriel will blow his trumpet and they will answer the roll call of their great commander, Jesus Christ. Mr. Larkins' funeral was conducted Monday afternoon by Rev. C. D. Carter in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing fiends and relatives. His remains were interred in the Poole (Larkin) cemetery. He is survived by his wife and five children as follows, Miss Lois Larkin, Mrs. Hattie Parker, Mrssers Alvin, Cecil and W. D. Larkin.
