T,. Oliver, who resided near Murray's Crossroads died at his home Thursday morning...(Note must have been Thursday Nov. 15, 1923 as could not have made the paper by the next morning, the 23.). Several weeks ago, Mr. Oliver suffered a stroke of paralysis and since then other strokes added to the seriousness of his condition until there was little hope of recovery. With loving hands his dear ones tried to nurse him back to health but to no avail. "The Silver cord was loosened, the golden bowl was broken" and Mr. Oliver's soul winged its flight into that vast unknown world where myriads have gone before him and where it is the Christian's sweet privilege to think there is a land of pure delight where angels forever dwell. Mr. Oliver was a good man and enjoyed the confidence, love and highest esteem of his fellow man. He was unpretentious, but nevertheless wielded an influence in his community as well as elsewhere. Mr. Oliver was 67 years of age and had resided all his life in Schley County. He was an active member of the baptist church, having occupied a place as one of the Deacons of County Line where his membership had been for many years. The funeral obsequies for Mr. Oliver were conducted by Rev. J. A. Nelson of Lilly at County Line about 10 o'clock this morning in the presence of a large concourse of sorrowing friends and relatives. He is survived by five sons, Messrs. Jeff, J.P., J. N., T. E and W. H. Oliver, four daughters Mrs. Elmer Jernigan, Mrs. Henry Phillips, Mrs. Olia Millirons and Miss Lucille Oliver.
