Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7 in Ellaville Cemetery. Dr. David Hunter officiated. The family received friends at the cemetery following the service. Mrs. Lawhorn was born April 7, 1913 in Troup County, the daughter of the late George S. "Jesse" Wilson and Annie Mae Colquitt Wilson. Her husband with whom she would have celebrated a seventy-third anniversary on December 25 of this year, preceded her in death on November 13, 2005. Mrs. Lawhorn was a homemaker and a Baptist. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Americus and Sumter county. P.O. Box 1434, Americus, Ga. 31709. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Annie Sue Lawhorn Rish and Bill Rish of Macon and Katie Hazel Lawhorn McCormick and Dewey McCormick of Americus; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Glen E. and Kim Lawhorn, all of Ellaville, eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
