Lawson, 47, member of one of Baldwin county's most widely connected families, died Sunday after an illness of several months. Funeral services were to be held Monday at Hardwick Methodist church. The Rev. John C. Moore, pastor, was to officiate, with burial in the City Cemetery. A resident of Knoxville, Tenn., for a number of years, Mr. Lawson returned to Milledgeville several months ago. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Virginia Mae Pilcher, of Ellaville; one daughter, Mrs. T.H. Hattaway, of Norfolk, Va.; mother, Mrs. E.L. Lawson, Milledgeville; two nephews, Lieutenant Roger Lawson, Camp Gordon, and Robert W. Lawson, Milledgeville.
