LIGHTNER Final tribute was paid Mrs. J(ohn) L(ewis) Lightner, 51, at funeral services conducted from Hopewell Methodist church Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mrs. Lightner died Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock of a heart attack suffered as she milked a cow at her home in Dozier's Mill community. Death followed the seizure almost instantly. She had been in good health and had known no previous heart trouble. Services were conducted by the Rev. W.S. Johnson and the Rev. Homer G. Fowler. Burial was in the church cemetery. The former Miss Annie (Jane) Wall, she was a native and lifelong citizen of Schley county. She was a member of the Methodist church. She was married to Mr. Lightner 32 years ago. Her many friends were shocked by her sudden passing. Survivors include her husband; four daughters, Mrs. Howard A. Greene, Mrs. Iven Daniel, Misses Mary and Jewel Lightner, all of Schley county; two sons, J.L., Jr., of Kirby, Oregon, and William of Schley county; four sisters, Mrs. Oscar Coral, Atlanta; Mrs. Parker Fouche, Mrs. John Rabun and Mrs. John Owen, all of Schley county; three brothers, Welton Wall of Schley county; Webster Wall, Jacksonville, Fla.; and John Wall of Ochlocknee, Ga. Pallbearers were M.C. Hill, E.C. Rigsby, Joe McCorkle, Roy McCorkle, Wilson Tondee and A.C. Chapman.
