JOHN LINDSAY DIES UNEXPECTEDLY MON.
John Lindsay, 45, well-known Schley county farmer, died unexpectedly of a 
heart attack early Monday morning while walking in a field near his home.  He 
had been considered in the best of health.  A native of Schley county, Mr. 
Lindsay had spent his entire life at his farm near Ellaville on the Oglethorpe 
Highway, and was known and admired for the unusual and complete interest he 
found in his work.  On March 15, 1934, he married Miss Bessie Bell of 
Americus.  Mr. Lindsay was a member of Ellaville Baptist church.  Funeral 
services were held at the residence Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock wih Rev. 
Hugh Dozier officiating.  Burial was in Ellaville cemetery.  Surviving besides 
his widow are a son John Clay Lindsay and a baby daughter, Beth; his parents, 
Mr. and Mrs. I.L. Lindsay, and a brother, Glenn Lindsay.  Pallbearers were:  
T.H. Stevens, H.F. Dixon, C.A. Walker, James H. Hart, R.C. Brooks and C.T. 
Rainey.

Among the out-of-town relatives and friends attending the funeral of Mr. John 
Lindsay Tuesday were:  Mrs. Homer Elzey, of Atlanta; Mrs. J.H. Foster and Mr. 
J.P. Mott, of Cornelia; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Farley, of Milner; Mr. and Mrs. Ed 
Stevens and Mrs. Matthew Williams of Dawson, Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Perry, of 
Lumpkin; Miss Susie Lunsford, of Smithville; Mrs. Clay Bell, Miss Docia 
Gunnels, Mrs. Willis Mauldin, Mrs. J.P. Cannon, Mr. and Mrs. Hope Griffin, Mr. 
R.N. Daniel, Mrs. Hugh Morrison, all of Americus.
