LITTLE JOE LIGHTNER DEAD
 
Again the grim reaper has come into our midst and this
time he carried from us little Joe Lightner, the baby
son of Dr. and Mrs. J.S. Lightner.

Our hearts are made sad becauseof the departure of this
little one who was a ray of sunshine and joy to all who
knew him.

During his short thirteen months on earth, he had
entwined himself in the hearts of fond parents, and
kinsmen, but the Master has called him unto the home
not made with hands, eternal in the skies.

Little Joe died Tuesday at midnight of that dread
disease, diptheria.  Skillful and loving hands did all
they could to keep the precious soul of this little one
with them, but now he awaits their coming to that
brighter and better world where there is no sorrow,
sickness, or death.

The remains were laid to rest in the Ellaville
Cemetery, Wednesday afternoon, funeral services having
been conducted by the Rev. C.D. Carter, assisted by
Elder J.M. Murray.
