Majors, Arthur
Mr. Arthur Majors was born October 8, 1918 in Schley County, GA to Claybon and 
Nora Bell Majors.  He attended public schools in Schley County.  About 1936 he 
and his parents moved to New Jersey and he later moved to New York until about 
1982 when he returned to Schley County, GA.
He married Miss Lenora Crowder and they had a daughter, Lenora.  
He died Monday morning, April 29, 1985 at St Francis Hospital in Columbus, 
Muscogee County, GA.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4, 1985 at Cedar Creek 
Baptist Church in Ellaville, GA; Reverend R B Bailey officiated.  Burial in 
Cedar Creek Baptist Church cemetery.  His survivors include: his daughter, 
Mrs. Lenora Bradley of East Orange, NJ, his mother, Mrs. Nora Bell Alstark of 
Ellaville, GA; 2 granddaughters, Deba Bradley and Latifa Bradley, both of East 
Orange, NJ; 3 aunts, Mrs. Lula Jackson of Miami, FL, Mrs. Mary Sailor of 
Moultrie, GA and Mrs. Mattie F Bey of Ellaville, GA; an uncle, Mr. Bradley 
Aldridge of Oglethorpe, GA, and cousins.
