The Schley County News  Friday, May 21, 1909  
MR. McMATH DEAD After an illness which lasted more
than a year, Mr. W.A. McMath died at his home, two
miles east of Ellaville, Thursday afternoon.  His
sickness and death has indeed been a sad calamity to
his family and his neighbors, his suffering having
been so intense and of such long duration.  All that
loving hands could do was administered to him.  Mr.
McMath had many friends in the county who will
deeply sympathize with his breaved family.


He was a member of the Masonic Order, and was buried
at old County Line cemetery Friday afternoon with
Masonic honors, the members of Washington Lodge
officiating.  Rev. R.F. Williamson conducted the
full services.
