AMANDA WRIGHT MOTT
Mrs. Amanda Wright Mott, age 94, of 114 Sullivan Drive, Americus, Georgia, 
formerly of Ellaville, died Thursday morning, December 21, 2006 at Sumter 
Regional Hospital in Americus, Ga.  Funeral services were held Saturday, 
December 23 at 11 a.m. at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church with 
entombment at the Ellaville Cemetery Mausoleum.  Reverend Kevin Clotfelter 
officiated.

Mrs. Mott was born May 7, 1912 in Scotland County, NC, the daughter of Charlie 
Alpheus Wright and Hattie Prince Parker Wright.  She was retired from the 
textile industry and a beauty shop owner.  After retiring, she became a 
homemaker.  She was a member of Andrew Chapel since 1938 where she was the 
oldest member.  She was a charter member of the UMW, a Sunday school teacher 
and a member of the Women's Auxiliary Post 191.  Mrs. Mott was preceded in 
death by her husband, Mr. Rudolph Mott and one son, Lauren Rudolph Mott.  
Survivors include two daughters, Evelyn Mott Stembridge and Cathy Mott Colter, 
both of Americus, Ga.; one son and daughter-in-law, Al and Brenda Mott of 
Ellaville, Ga.; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren also 
survive.

Pallbearers included Melvin Collins, Nelson Williams, Joe Fletcher, Burt 
Strange, Ron Justice, Kevin Justice and Wally Vasil.  Honorary pallbearers 
were Frazier Stembridge, F.P. Wright, T.W. Campbell, Shoney Tallent, D.C. 
DeVane and Wesley Kaylor.

Watson-Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville, Ga. was in charge of arrangements.
