Moulton, former editor of The Schley County News here who died of a heart ailment at his home in Macon last Wednesday, were conducted from the graveside at Butler last Thursday afternoon. The Rev. C.A. Jackson, Jr., of Macon and the Rev. F.J. Gilbert of Butler officiated. Born at Brunswick, April 3, 1888, Mr. Moulton was the son of J.M. and Mrs. Beulah Bateman Moulton. His father died when he was a small boy, and he spent his youth at Butler with his mother and aunt, Mrs. L.B. Poole. He began his newspaper career with The Butler Herald and came here in 1921 when he purchased The News. After leaving Ellaville, in 1935, he was connected with The Eatonton Messenger, Lineville (Ala.) Tribune and Chipley Tri-County Review, before declining health forced his retirement about a year ago. He was a member of the Methodist church. Survivors include his widow, the former Miss Mary Dugger of Macon; two sons, James of Macon and Frank of Dublin; two aunts, Mrs. L.B. Poole, and Mrs. C.E. Benns, both of Butler.
