MISS IDA MUNRO WELL KNOWN AS SCHOOL TEACHER
Miss Ida Munro, 82, widely known Putnam woman whose death was reported last 
week achieved prominence as a school teacher prior to her retirement in 1902.  
She attended school in Buena Vista and later at the exclusive LaVest Academy 
at Talbotton and George Peabody College, Nashville, Tenn.  Miss Munro taught 
in the Georgia College for Girls in Columbus, Central College for Women at 
Lexington, Mo., and Norfolk, Va.  She also studied at Columbia University and 
traveled abroad.
