Miss Murray died Monday of a broken hip suffered Sept. 1. She would have been 84 years old on Sept. 20. The daughter of the late Elder and Mrs. John Greene Murray was born and reared in Taylor county. For many years she lived in Fort Valley, and for the past 15 years had made her home with her uncle, Mr. D.R. Murray, and Mrs. Murray in Concord community. The Rev. C.D. Carter conducted the funeral and was assisted by the Rev. Roy J. Bond. Pallbearers were: James H. Hart, J.T. Murray, L.S. McMickle, D.N. Edge of Macon, T.J. Cook and Sgt. H.B. Whittington.
