Mr. R.M. Murphey Dead

Again we are called upon to chronicle the death of one of our best citizens, 
Mr. R.M. Murphey, who departed this life on his 57th birthday, Aug. 27th, 1911.

He has held various offices of public trust in this county.  Was postmaster of 
Ellaville several years, which position he filled to the satisfaction of all.  
For several years after being postmaster Mr. Murphey served as Justice of the 
Peace for the Ellaville district and gave up the office after his health had 
failed him, incapacitating him from attending to the duties of his office. –
