Death of an Old Lady

Mrs. Calvin Owen, or as she was better known “Grandma” Owen, died at her 
residence in Schley County Friday morning, aged between ninety-five and a 
hundred years.  She was worn out by old Time, and died peacefully and calmly, 
beloved by all who knew her.  No one seemed to remember her name, but all 
called her “grandma.”  All of her children but three boys have died in the long 
ago, and the youngest of those living is about forty-five or fifty years of 
age.  She was a general favorite in her section and all speak in praise and 
love of her.
