The daughter Mr. and Mrs. I.B. Owen, of Hopewell community, Miss Owen was a tenth grade student the past term. Supt. E.M. Palmer paid high tribute to her abilities. The interest she took in her work and her spirit of cooperation in school affairs. Funeral services were held at Ebenezer Baptist church Saturday morning at 11 o'clock with the Rev. H.G. Fowler and the Rev. Roy J. Bond, officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Surviving besides her parents, are three sisters, Miss Ruby Lee Owen, Miss Katie Lou Owen and Mrs. James E. Dalgo, all of Atlanta; three brothers, Hilton Eugene Owen, Fort McClellan, Ala.; Charles Rodolph and Robert Owen, both of Schley county. Classmates served as pallbearers. They were James William Perry, Calvin Owen, Robert Hilton, Hugh Tondee, Jack Tondee and Warren Battle.
