OBITUARY OF THOMAS COLLINS
                        Published in The Americus Times-Recorder
                                  August 24, 1913

Mr. Thomas Collins, an aged and esteemed resedent of Bronwood, and widely
known as well in Americus and in Ellaville where he long resided prior to
his removal to Terrel county, died Saturday morning.  Mr. Collins had been
in declining health for some time and his death was not unexpected.

During a long period of years he resided in Schley county, occupying a high
position in the social and business life of the community.  In recent years
he has resided quietly upon his farm in Terrell.

Mr. Collins has a large family relationship throughout this section, among
whom his death is deplored.  He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs.
Phillip Murray and Mrs. Lester Stewart, residents of Ellaville and by five
sons, Messrs Thomas, John, Homer, Enoch, and Tobe Collins.

The body was carried yesterday afternoon to Ellaville, his old home where
the funeral will take place today.
