Schley County News dated July 24, 1884
Died.  On the 17th inst., Mrs Cornelia, wife of J. H. Stevens.  Her remains 
were interred in the Bethel Cemetery on the 18th.  Mrs. Stevens had been an 
invalid for years and death was a sweet relief from the pains of the flesh.  
She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her death.

Additional Comments:
Cordelia Hurt Stevens was the daughter of Joel Hurt of Olgethorpe County, her 
sister was Louisa Josephine Hurt Stevens, wife of Putnam Sparks Stevens of 
Putnam, GA.
