In mentioning her going away the local paper, The Schley County news says in part: “About midnight Sunday the spirit of Miss Mary Williamson took its flight from this world of sickness and sorrow to that Beautiful Land where all is happiness and peace.” “For many months Miss Mary had been a patient sufferer and although her relatives and friends realized for some time that death was inevitable, yet sadness lies heavy upon their hearts, for her life was an inspiration and comfort to them.” “Born and raised near here and living in Ellaville the latter part of her life, Miss Mary by her many deeds of kindness endeared herself to all who knew her.” “Funeral services were conducted at the Methodist church Monday evening amid a host of sorrowing friends and relatives by Rev. S.A. Hearn. Mr. Hearn paid a high tribute to the life which had been lived.” “The remains were interred in the Ellaville cemetery. She is survived by her father and mother, Rev. and Mrs. R.F.
