A SUDDEN DEATH
Walter, the 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. B.F. Green, died very suddenly on 
Wednesday of last week.  He was sick only 24 hours.  On Tuesday, the 25th, 
early in the morning, he finished up a piece of plowing and he and his two 
brothers were hoeing.  About 9 o'clock, he felt a slight headache and his 
father told him if he didn't feel like working to go to the house but he said 
he would work on a while longer and see if it wouldn't wear off, but soon grew 
worse and had to be carried home.

He continued to grow worse until about one o'clock when he became irrational 
and from that hour never spoke again.

Truly, "In the midst of life we are in death."

His whole life was an example by which his companions may profit if they will 
only follow.  He was loved by all who knew him.

He caused his father to hold family prayer and would conduct it himself when 
called upon.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. R.F. Williamson.  In a few 
appropriate remarks, he told the many noble traits of character of the 
deceased, both in the discharge of duties to God and man, then the body was 
conveyed to the city of the dead, followed by a host of friends and relatives.

Though death came like a theif in the night,
And seized this form, this youth so bright;
His life should be a shining light,
To guide our wayward feet a-right.
