PALMER DIES MONDAY Mrs. Amanda Palmer, 79, beloved Ellaville woman, died Monday morning at 5:20 o'clock at the home of her son, E.M. Palmer, superintendent of Ellaville consolidated school, where she had loved for several years. Enfeebled for a long period, she had been ill for two months. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday morning from Salem Baptist church at Edison, of which she was a member. The Rev. Hugh Dozier of Ellaville and Rev. Mr. Burgess of Edison officiated, and burial was in the church cemetery. Born in Roeville, Ala., August 13, 1860. she was married to Elbert Marion Palmer of Dickey, Ga., in 1899. He died nine years later. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Survivors include four sons, E.H(M). Palmer of Ellaville; A.T. Palmer, Washington, D.C.; H.C. Palmer, Colquitt, Ga.; G.T. Palmer, Edison, Ga.; two daughters, Miss Nomie Palmer and Mrs. J.E. Kirksey, both of Edison; a brother, W.T. Wiggins, also of Edison; six grandchildren, Hughes Palmer, Ellaville; Carolyn Palmer, Washington, D.C.; Thelma and Grover Palmer, both of Edison; James Palmer, Albany, and Mrs. D.A. Luke, Ashburn.
