MRS. PEACOCK PAID TRIBUTE
Funeral services for Mrs. Harry Peacock, who died last Wednesday after an 
illness of 16 months, were conducted from her home in Ideal last Thursday 
afternoon.  The Rev. W.W. Whaley of Oglethorpe officiated and was assisted by 
Rev. E.L. Jenkins of Ideal.  Burial was in Ellaville cemetery.

The former Miss Willie Maude Watkins, she was born and reared in Garden Valley 
community in Macon County.  Prior to her marriage in 1917 she was a teacher in 
the Macon county school system.

A member of the Ideal Methodist church, she was a leader in her community and 
had many friends.

Surviving are her husband and a son, Harry, Jr.; her mother, Mrs. Bell of 
Garden Valley; two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Wall of Dawson and Mrs. Warren Randall 
of LaGrange.
