MRS. PERSONS, 83, BURIED THURSDAY
Relatives and friends paid final tribute Thursday to Mrs. Elizabeth Rogers 
Persons, 83, at a brief service conducted from the graveside in her native 
Buena Vista.  Mrs. Persons died Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. 
Cook, in Haynes City, Fla., and funeral services were conducted there 
Wednesday.  The Rev. A.B. Wall and the Rev. O.L. Evans officiated at the 
service in Buena Vista.  Mrs. Persons was well-known in Schley county from 
visits in other years to her daughter, Mrs. J.H. Statham, who formerly resided 
here, and son, the late Mr. J.M. Persons.  Survivors include three daughters, 
Mrs. J.H. Statham, Moultrie; Mrs. Charlie Hogg, Americus; Mrs. Cook, Haynes 
City; three sons, Joe, Charlie and Cleve Persons; one brother, Tom L. Rogers, 
Buena Vista, and many nieces and nephews, including Mrs. H.F. Dixon and Mrs. 
J.R. Jordan, both of Ellaville.
