F.M. PURVIS OF CHARING PASSES AT 87 Mrs. F.M. Purvis, 87, who died at her home near Charing early Friday after an illness of two weeks, was buried in Bloodworth cemetery, Taylor county, Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock following funeral services conducted by Elder M.A. Hall of Arabi and Elder Hassell McCorkle of Ellaville. Born and reared not far from the home where she spent most of her life, she was the widow of F.M. Purvis, who died 25 years ago. Survivors include two sons, L.L. Purvis, Columbus, and Walter Purvis, Charing, and 31 grandchildren. A son of each of her five sons and one daughter served as pallbearers. They were James Purvis, Ellaville; L.L. Purvis, Jr., and Monroe Purvis, Columbus; Lorenza Purvis, Howard, Louis Watson and William Purvis, Charing.
