25 YEARS AGO THIS WEEK (1914)
Charles M. Rainey, 62, prominent Schley county citizen, died Sunday night, 
November 1, after a long illness. One of 15 children, Mr. Rainey was born in 
what is now Schley county, April 26, 1852 and in November, 1876 married Miss 
Henrietta Battle, daughter of Judge and Mrs. C.L. Battle, who preceded him in 
death.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.E. Channell and Mrs. Mae 
Sellars; one son, C.T. Rainey; seven sisters and five brothers.
