Funeral Services For Verney Robinson Thursday Afternoon.
Funeral services for young Verney Robinson, 16, popular high school student, 
who died on Wednesday afternoon of last week, were held at the MT. ZION 
LUTHERAN CEMETERY Thursday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. E. Summers, who was 
assisted by Rev. D. L. Heglar. The young man was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Bob 
Robinson, who reside between Oglethorpe and Ellaville, and had been attending 
the consolidated school here since last September. He was very popular, and 
his passing cast a gloom over the entire school, which was closed down last 
Thuresday at noon out of respect and in order to give the students and eachers 
an opportunity to attend the funeral services.  Practically every teacher and 
many of the students were present at the services, which were largely attended 
by citizens from this entire section and many were visibly affected as the 
casket was lowered in the grave. The young man is survived by his mother and 
father, a twin brother, who is also a local high school student and one 
younger brother.


Additional Comments:
Yesterday, I posted an obituary for this individual as taken from the March 
27, 1942 issue of The Ellaville Sun.  The death notice was found in the Encore 
Headlines section and listed as 10 YEARS AGO (1932).  Obviously that was in 
error as this obituary and the record from the Georgia Death Index show.
