ED L. SEARS PASSES THURSDAY Mr. Ed L. Sears, aged prominent retired business man of Pennsylvania, died at noon Thursday at the home of his niece, Mrs. B.T. Rainey in Buena Vista, local relatives were informed. A frequent visitor of his brother, Dr. W.D. Sears, Mr. Sears was well-known here. He spent winters in Florida. SEARS RESTS IN PENNSYLVANIA Final tribute was paid this week to Mr. Ed L. Sears, 79, at funeral services conducted at his home in Bell-Vernon, Pa. Mr. Sears, brother of Dr. W.D. Sears of Ellaville and well-known here from frequent visits, died last Thursday at the home of his niece, Mrs. B.T. Rainey, in Buena Vista. Mrs. Rainey accompanied the body to Belle-Vernon for the funeral and burial. A retired business man, Mr. Sears divided his time between his northern home and Florida, spending winters in the latter estate. Survivors include three brothers, Dr. Sears, of Ellaville; W.J. Sears, of Jacksonville, Fla., and Washington, D.C.; and R.J. Sears, Lake Wales, Fla.
