Mrs. Delma Shirah, 64, of Ellaville, died Friday, March 21, 1997 at her 
residence.

Funeral services were held SWunday, March 23, 1997, at 2:00 p.m. in the cahpel 
of Giddens Funeral Home with the Rev. Daemon Fountain officiating.  Burial 
followed in Ebenezer Cemetery.  Servinf as pallbearers were Travis Johnson, 
Andy Belcher, Chris Shirah, Lamar Wilson, Jimmy Wilson and Willie Middlebrooks.

Mrs. Shirah was born in Macon County, the daughter of Wesley B. Jackson and 
Ethel Duckworth Jackson, lived in Schley County most of her life, was employed 
at Manhattan Shirt Company for twelve years, and was a member of Ebenezer 
Baptist Church.

Survivoprs include her husband Willie A. Shirah of Ellaville; two daughters, 
Linda Whisnant of Cordele, and Becky Belcher of Ellaville; three sons, Steve 
Shirah of Sylvania, Mike Shirah of Navaree, Florida, and Daryl Shirah of 
Leslie; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Giddens Funeral Home of Ellaville was in charge of arrangements.
