FUNERAL FOR SHORT HELD
Funeral Services were held at Ebenezer Baptist church Thursday afternoon at 3 
o'clock for John Short, about 60, who died at his home in Thomaston, Wednesday 
of heart disease.  Ill for the past month, he had been in declining health for 
several years.  Coming to Schley county when he was about six years old, Mr. 
Short lived here most of his life, moving to Thomaston 15 years ago.  
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Ophelia Herring Short; eight children, a 
brother, W.L. Short of Schley county; two sisters, Mrs. R.G. Phelts, of Schley 
county, and Mrs. Henry Herring, Thomaston, besides many nieces and nephews.
