Barnum Funeral Home; December 03, 1983; Funeral services for Mr. Sims of Route 
2, Plains, GA who died Friday, December 02, 1983 will be held Monday at 3:00 
p.m. from Bethlehem Baptist Church in Plains, GA, Reverend Jack Johnson 
officiating.  Burial in the church cemetery.  Survivors include his wife, Mrs. 
Bertha Lee Sims of Plains, GA; 12 children, Jurilene Sims and Mrs. Imogene 
(Norris) Harris of Plains, GA, Margaret Sims, Jessie Mae Sims and Annie Rose 
Sims of Americus, GA, Mrs. Mandy (Jerome) Cratic of Opelika, FL, Arthur Lee 
Sims, Irvin Sims, Leonard Paul Sims, Jerome Sims and Wilbert Sims of Plains, 
GA, and Robert Sims of Americus, GA; sister Mrs. Bertha Kate Clinkscales of 
Plains, GA; 5 brothers, Sam, Ulysses, Booker T. and L. W. Sims of Plains, GA 
and Eddie Sims of Albany, GA; mother-in-law, Mrs. Mary Emma Stewart of 
Americus, GA. 9 grandchildren.
