The Schley County News  Thursday, August 1st 1895  
DEATH AT LACROSSE
Mrs. Sallie Smith died at her home near LaCrosse Friday evening. She was the 
widow of Lovett Smith, a confederate soldier who lost his life in the war.  
The remains were brought to Ellaville for burial.  Two sisters, Misses Laura 
and Della Jones, are left to mourn the loss of their loved one.
