AN OLD CITIZEN DEAD
After an illness of several weeks Uncle Johnnie Snider died at his home near 
Ellaville Tuesday at 12 o'clock, in his 88th year.  He was born in Wilkes 
county, but has been a citizen of Schley for nearly fifty years.  Mr. Snider 
was twice married and an aged wife and several daughters survive him.  He was 
a member of Hopewell church and attended regularly upon the services.  For 
several weeks he was fully conscious of his approaching disolution, but calmly 
and peacefully he awaited the end, and gave abundant evidence of his 
acceptance with God.  The remains were interred at Hopewell yesterday 
afternoon.  The impressive funeral service being conducted by Rev. R.F. 
Williamson.  The bereaved family find comfort in the thought that with 
him "all is well"--- that he has left the sorrows of earth to find rest and 
joy in that "house not made with hands."  The News joins with many others in 
extending sincere condolence to the sorrowing ones.
