FORMER LOCAL WOMAN WILL BE BURIED HERE
Burial services will be held here today (Friday) or Saturday for Mrs. M.E. 
Snider, 80, native Schley countian, who died Wednesday night at her home in 
Selma, Ala.  Funeral services were to be held in Selma sometime today, but 
relatives had not been informed yesterday afternoon when the body would arrive 
here.  Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Hixon of Schley county, she was married 
to Mr. Snider, of Hopewell community, and they spent their early married life 
in Schley county.  Later, they moved to Americus.  Survivors include, a son, 
Laney, Selma; three brothers, E. L. Bridges, Americus; S.R. and H.L. Bridges, 
Atlanta; a sister, Mrs. Ben Boyleston, Blackwell,

Mary E. Hixon married Marcus W. Snider in Schley Co. 13 Feb 1877.
