The Schley County News  Thursday, June 8, 1894  
GOD CALLS ANOTHER On Sunday last, while her
children were enjoying the services at the
Methodist church, little dreaming of the sad news
that was soon to greet them, Mrs. J.W. Snipes,
while walking near her house was touched by the
angel of death and in a few moments had breathed
her last.


Mrs. Snipes was a daughter of our well known
citizen Rev. W.R. Singleton and a most excellent
lady, a consistant christian and an earnest
worker in her masters vineyard.  The last of her
mortal remains were enterred in the Hopewell
church cemetery followed  by a number of friends.
Rev. R.F. Williams officiating.  The stricken
husband and children have our earnest sympathy.
