Stevens, age 92, of County Road 134, Ellaville, GA died Monday, April 7, 2003, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home, Americus, GA. Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 9, 2003 in the Chapel of Watson Giddens Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Ellaville Cemetery. Elder Robert Torrence, Rev Brooks Partain, and Rev. Thom Davies will officiate. Mr. Stevens was born September 5, 1910 in Jones County, GA, the son of the late Lewis and Angenora Stevens. He retired from J.P. Stevens Co., as General Overseer. Mr. Stevens was a member of Ellaville Methodist Church and had previously been active in church in Baldwin County, GA all his adult life. Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his wife, Lois McCullar Stevens. He is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Nora and Wayne Morrow, Sr.; one grandson, Wayne Morrow, Jr. and his wife Frieda; one granddaughter, Malinda McKinney and her husband, Ken; five grandchildren, Wayne Morrow III, Pam McKinney, Melissa McKinney, Brandi Morrow and James Morrow, all of Ellaville, GA. Pallbearers will include Wayne Norrow, Jr., Ken McKinney, Wayne Morrow, III, James Morrow, Jerry McCullar, Charles McCullar and Jerrold Wright.
