10 YEARS AGO (1930)
Funeral services were conducted at Ellaville Methodist church for Mr. J(oseph) 
C. Strange, 79, prominent retired Schley county farmer.  A lifelong citizen of 
the county, Mr. Strange had been a member since boyhood and a trustee of the 
church for more than 50 years.  Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Duncan 
Bickley (Susie A. Strange), Meigs; and Mrs. R.S. Greene (Lula Strange), of 
Schley county; an adopted daughter, Mrs. H.G. Wimbish (Lucy A. Mott per Schley 
marriage records), of Schley county, and a brother, E.W. Strange, of 
Ellaville.  (Transcriber's note:  Accordinding to the Georgia Death Index, 
Joseph C. Strange died February 19, 1930.  He's buried at Ellaville cemetery.)
