Terry, Sammie
Born 1932 in Schley County, GA, son of Robert A and Laura Lucy Hartage Terry 
and resided in Pittsburg, PA, died October 4, 1985.  Funeral was held at Union 
Hill A.M.E. Church in Ellaville, GA; burial in the church cemetery. Member of 
New Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Pittsburg, served on Boards of Deacons 
and Trustees.  Employed by US Steel, Pittsburg, owner of Terry Cab Company.  
Survived by his wife, Annie Mae of Pittsburg; 2 daughters, Gwendolyn and 
Antoinette Terry of Pittsburg; 2 sons, Lawrence and Donelle Terry of 
Pittsburg; brother Robert Terry of Miami, FL, 4 sisters, Mrs. Agnes Swann, 
Mrs. Aretha Norman, Mrs. Mamie Aldridge and Mrs. Ethel Golphine, all of 
Ellaville, GA; 8 step-sisters, Rubye King, Roxie Burke, Mary Brown, Alice 
Barquick and Rosie Mae Thompson, all of Springfield, MA, Vernice Black of 
Milwaukee, WS, Bobbie Jean Guy of Agusta, GA, and Agnes Hicks of Atlanta, GA.  
Step-brothers, Jester Black of Springfield, MA, Alfred Black of New Britian, 
CT, and Sammie Black of Ellaville, GA; 4 grandchildren and his step-mother 
Mrs. Emma L Terry of Ellaville, GA.  Oglethorpe Funeral Chapel
