Belle Wall Walker, 93, of Preston, Georgia passed away Saturday, February 28, 
2009 at Four County Health Care in Richland, GA.  Funeral services were held 
Monday, March 2, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Preston Baptist Church with rev. Wallace 
Willis and Rev. Rendell Day officiating.  Special music was provided by Judy 
Wells and Mark Taylor.  Interment followed in the Preston City Cemetery.  
Pallbearers were the great nephews:  Clate Wall, John Wall, Roy McCorkle, Alec 
Black, Jay Hart and Jonathan Hart.  

Mrs. Walker was born April 22, 1915 in Schley County, GA to Charner Strange 
and Nellie Dwight Rainey Wall.  She moved to Preston in 1936 from Ellaville, 
GA and taught home economics and was also the librarian for the Webster County 
School System.  She was a member of Preston Baptist Church for over 70 years, 
the Preston Woman's Club and the Marion-Webster County Retired Teachers 
Association.  She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Foy 
Meredith Walker, Sr.; by a brother, Henry Charner Wall; and by two sisters, 
Mary Dwight Wall McCorkle Collins and Ruby Nell Wall Meacham.

Survivors include twin sons, George Rees Walker and his wife Judy and Foy 
Meredith Walker, Jr. and his wife Debbie, all of Preston.  She is also 
survived by three grandchildren, Wendy Walker Perry, Brock lee Walker and 
Jordan Foy Walker; and five great grandchildren, Bryttany Ann Walker, Bryanna 
Chris Perry, Madison Belle Walker, and twins Lily and Emma Walker.
