WALKER, 77, SUCCUMBS Final tribute was paid W.A. (Buster) Walker, 77, prominent retired Schley county farmer, who died Wednesday morning at 1 o'clock, and funeral services conducted from his residence Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Mr. Walker died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mae Morris, at Leary, after a stroke of paralysis. He would have reached his 78th birthday in January. The Rev. W.S. Johnson officiated at the funeral and burial was at Butler. A native of Schley county, Mr. Walker was the son of Mr. and Mrs. T.J. Walker who lived in LaCross community. As a young man he moved to Butler, later going to Box Springs, where he resided until he returned to Schley county about 30 years ago. Surviving are two sons, Carl and Robert Walker of Ellaville; four daughters, Mrs. Mae Morris, and Mrs. Walter McGarrah, both of Leary; Mrs. Alton Dupree of Americus; Mrs. M.J. Anderson of Albany; one brother, T.A. Walker of Schley county. Pallbearers were S.A. Manning, William McGarrah, M.J. Anderson, J.A. Dupree, W.J. McGarrah and H.H. Johnson.
