Mrs. Walters died at her home near TyTy Saturday morning at 7 o'clock after a long illness. She had suffered ill health about four years and had been critically ill for a month. The daughter of Frank DeVane, who is now 94, and the late Mrs. Polly Wall DeVane, she was born near Ellaville May 17, 1879, and was married to A.S. Walters Dec. 24, 1899. She moved with her family to Worth county 30 years ago. Surviving are her husband and the following children: L.L. Walters, Sumner; Harold L. and Frank Walters, TyTy; J.T. Walters, Poulan and Heyward Walters, Tifton; her father, Frank DeVane, Chattanooga, Tenn.; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Clonts, Chattanooga; four brothers, M.F. DeVane, Ellaville; P.H. DeVane, Aiken, S.C.; John DeVane, Milledgeville, and Rainey DeVane of Columbus, besides a number of other relatives, including many in Schley county.
