W.M. WILLIAMS DEAD At the home of Mrs. J. R. Jordan on last Saturday night at 12:30, the soul of Mrs. W.M. Williams left its earthly tenement of clay and winged its flight into the great beyond. Mrs. Williams had been in our midst only a few short months, but in that time had made many friends who were saddened by her demise. Especially in her daughter's home will she be missed, for there she was ever ready to minister to her loved ones, and to do all she could to brighten the lives of those around her. Sunday afternoon her remains accompanied by a large concourse of friends and relatives, was carried on the 3:30 train to Buena Vista, where the funeral services were conducted from the Methodist church by Rev. R.E. Bailey and Rev. B.F. Lowhern. Rev. John(?) Short made a splendid talk telling of the life of this good woman. The remains were interred in Buena Vista cemetery, there to wait the resurrection morn. The deceased is survived by her husband and seven children: Messrs. Lawrence and Turner Williams, of Buena Vista, Mrs. J.R. Jordan, Mrs. H. Dixon, Messrs. Rogers and Seab Williams of this city, and Mrs. W.L. English, of Americus. To the bereaved ones we extend our sincerest sympathy and point them to He, who alone, can heal our sorrows and help us in time of need. May they remember that "their mother is not dead, but sleepeth. The Christian cannot die. It is the birthday of the soul to ecstasy on high." Additional Comments: Mrs. Dr. J.R. Jordan was Elizabeth Williams, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. W.M. Williams. Other daughters of Mrs. W.M. Williams mentioned here are: Miss Nettylee Williams (Mrs. Harry Dixon)and Miss Martha Williams (Mrs. W.L. English).
